SEAT Ibiza (2017 on)
1.0 MPI 75ps SE Design 5dr Hatchback
Brilliant to a point....
Let's start with the cars looks, simply stunning sums it up, creases in all the right places, white bodywork with black windows and panoramic roof sets it off.
It has good interior space, does not feel like a small car inside, boot space is adequate, I had the split level floor and was disappointed, with the floor at the lower height it is not level, the back part of the board lifts creating a gap between it and the rear seats, when in the high level loading is easier but if you want to store anything under the board be warned there is nothing covering the spare wheel if you have that option, which I do.
The added storage under the drivers seat is laughable, perhaps keep your sunglasses in it but not much else.
Kit level is good, opening glass roof, DAB, Beats audio upgrade is a vast improvement over the standard audio system. The small touch screen is OK, responsive but a bit bland in colour and graphics. No 12v socket in the rear. Air conditioning is woeful barely cools the car.
Driving the car is where the fun is, the 95bhp engine is quiet quick and lively, handling is sharp and the ride is comfortable. Real life mpg is around a combined 50ish.
My particular car has had and issue with the clutch burning when under a it of stress, there is also an odd "clunking" noise from the brakes especially when reversing, my dealer is looking at these under warranty.
Build quality seems good, no squeaky trim or odd rattles plastic is cheap but does the job, no 6th gear in this engine format.
Overall the Ibiza is a good car, get a good deal and it makes a sensible option.
