Hmm. Interesting.
I thought I'd update my experiences. I getting more used to the Altea Ecomotive now. Some interesting points have arisen. Block gearchanges down are a "no no" because the ratios on the box are so widespread. It's like they've put 5 speeds in a 6 speed box if that doesn't sound too silly, so usual practice of approaching roundabouts in third or changing fom 4 to 2 to go round corners is not possible without juddering. Also it hates stopping at lights in top, a change down is necessary.
All in all I've had to rethink my driving style which is OK I suppose. Stop start still fine. Economy still the same-no sign of 60ish MPG.
