Renault Scenic (2016 - 2019)
1.5 dCi 110 Dynamique S Nav Auto 5dr Medium MPV
UPDATE - Excellent better than I had thought
My previous car was a Kadjar, which was good but found ride a bit hard on 45 profile tyres. So ended taking the plunge on the new version of Scenic. This has 20 inch wheels but 55 profile tyres, have found to be a very good ride even on our pothole roads. This Scenic I have found a delight to drive, excellent seating and all the controls are well positioned. Have updated the navigation all working well. The driving position is excellent. The car came with a spare wheel. This car had 13000 miles on have only done 50 miles at present so will update later with mpg, ( only local got 41 mpg so far). The auto gearbox is fantastic.
Update : 320 miles covered 85% Local + 15% motorway/ dual carriageway achieved 43.4 mpg., then did 120 miles motorway only and achieved 55.9 mpg.
These were achieved using COMFORT Mode setup. I am not a fan of Eco mode as this does affect your speed when overtaking also the air conditioning does not work as efficiently. Was a bit worried about going back to diesel, but these are very efficient engines, and I don't think will affect me over next 10 years. This car is first class. Bought from Bennett's Leeds Renault an excellent dealer.
Update May 2019. Had electric problems 1st was alarms went off would not stop, had to have new Alarm box fitted. 2nd 2 occasions had to call AA would not start, eventually AA said battery needs changing, Took to Bennett's they replaced battery and gave a full health check all ok. It would appear from people I have talked to this problem is in the Kadjar as well, and from what I have been told cheap batteries installed at manufacture does not hold charge after 18 months of use.
