This car is better than I expected

Due to my mileage I decided to go petrol, having driven diesel for the last 20 years. I was very wary about this car, but I have now had this nearly 2 weeks and has been fantastic. I bought from Wilson's in Epsom, drove 220 miles home and the car averaged 44.9 MPG. I have done some local journeys around home all short journeys and has averaged 34.5 MPG. So on balance is better than expected. The ride is great, and the engine is extremely quiet. I was concerned over 19 inch wheels, but again the ride was good. The auto box is very nice.
Update :31/05/2017
When weather is very warm found the auto air con not very cold, so turned off ECO and the air conditioning was fine. When in ECO mode did find in certain weather conditions the screen was a bit misty, so turned ECO off and the screen was fine.
Also when you turn the ECO off your car goes slightly faster (its like putting it in sports mode).
Update 10.06.2017 - First full tank 3/4 fuel used, 75% local journeys averaged 39.2 MPG
