Comfortable, economical, well built

Bought this car as an ex-demo at Renault dealership as a pre-reg therefore achieving quite a discount over the brand new list price, as well as being fitted with some optional extras such as the puddle light sill bars.

The car is spacious for a family of 4, the boot has a variable floor which is great for size but also for hiding things underneath the false floor.

I easily achieve in the region of between 45-56mpg without trying too hard depending on the journeys I undertake, and with it also being £30 tax per year it really is cheap to run.

The cars best quality is the ride comfort, very very sublime. Yes on the 19's you feel rutted roads and pot holes like you would expect but otherwise the road comfort is brilliant and smooth.

Niggles - well in 1st / 2nd gears the car feels sluggish pulling away from a standing start. Renault claim this is to improve winter traction however, but you do sometimes end up feeling slow and with other cars up your rear bumper. However, in anything above 3rd gear, there is plenty of torque and shove, and overtaking is no problems at all.

One thing I would highly recommend is the after-market Gen-3 ceramic paint treatment you can have treated at Renault dealers. It's £300 approximately but wow do I notice the difference between the depth of colour and vividness of the paint colour compared to my wife's Clio which is in the exact same colour.

Would I recommend the car?! Yes absolutely. As a relaxed cruiser with a commanding driving position, decent fuel economy and running costs, reliability and dealer experience, absolutely. However if you want downright grunt and shove from a standing start, look elsewhere.
