Nearly put me off getting another car from Peugeot ever again!

I bought this car from Peugeot in May 2009. Almost straight away i was having faults with the doors. In the summer heat the doors either refused to open atall or close once opened. I just put this down to the heat wave we were in at the time. In the winter months the same happened but again i used the extreme cold weather as an excuse. Then everything changed and the car became extreamlly dangerous. I was driving along a motor way and the drivers door started opening for no reason. I couldn't shut it and it wasn't until i pulled over on the hard sholder, turned off my engine and took the keys out that the door decided to shut again. The following day i went to my local shops and parked my car, locked it and went shopping for the day. Five hours later i got back to my car and both doors were open. Luckily it wasn't stolen, although i was starting to wish it had been. I rang Peugeot and explained my problem and they said they would have a look at the electrics for me. A few weeks past after Peugeot found nothing wrong and then it all started again. This time my little boy of 3 was locked inside and the doors wouldnt open. The doors wouldnt even open manually. This was the last straw. I logged onto the Peogeot faults site and there in front of me was hundreds of reviews from past customers stating the same problem. When i saw this, i printed it all off as proof went straight to the Peugeot garage and demanded a different car or i would go to the papers. I got a new car within one week and cant thank the staff enough. I was told at the time of buying my new car that they had all been discontinued and called back to be crushed due to a fault that was not fixable and a danger, however, when i collected my new car, low and behold the car was up for sale again. So, stay well away from this one. I'm very disappointed that a company as big as Peugeot would put other lives at risk after having reviews such as this one on their own site.
