quick, modern, spacious but sadly lacking in actual space to put things.
I bought this car on hire purchase after my initial mistake of getting rid of my ultra reliable 2005 Berlingo hdi multispace, followed by 2 disaster second hand cars that lasted a month each. Initially I thought the Note was the perfect combination of berlingo type versatility and roominess combined with the smaller and more environmentally friendly Fabia/city cars. I have been impressed with the reliability and performance of the Note, the built in sat nav and bluetooth system is great, comfortable seats, leg room in the back, quirky boot with a false floor for smuggling. After about a fortnight I started to feel claustrophobic in the driving seat - there is a distinct lack of width for any deviation from a straight leg ready to press the clutch, a huge central column made of plastic seems totally pointless, the door storage cavities are a joke compared to the Berlingo, the cup holders are only suitable if you drink espresso sized cups, first gear is intermittently impossible to engage from standstill. Every day I wake up hoping its just a dream and I didn't sell the Berlingo. But its not and I am stuck with the Nissan (Renault!) for the next 4 years. Wheels and tinted windows look nice though.
