Mazda MX-5 (2015 on)
Convertible 1.5 131ps Arctic Limited Edition 2dr
Still great gun to drive.
This is an update to my review of 29.6.20. I still love driving MX5, if succeeds in putting a smile on my face every time I drive it, regardless of the weather. I am very pleased with fuel economy and have seen an indicated 61 mpg on a gentle drive on the motorway. A more usual figure is 50+ in Summer and 48.5 in Winter.
The Infotainment system has been extremely troublesome and I have had to take it back to the dealer on about 5 occasions. It used to be extremely infuriating as sometime it would work, sometimes not. It was and still is iffy with the CD player. After about 30 minutes it says it is validating the CD. The dealer has replaced the CD player and carried a software update but it is still intermittent but better. Other than that there a a few rattles in the cabin. After 7,000 miles I'm still happy with my purchase. Boot space is very limited, but with careful packing I managed to get 2 small tents and all our gear in for a weeks camping. The storage space behind the seats is useful, but a glove box and door pockets would be useful.
