Great car for 5 years

Bought at 8 months old from a Mazda dealership, where it had been used as a demonstrator.
Comfortable car and good to drive. Towed our caravan effortlessly.
If I had written this review at this time last year, I would have been full of praise for the car as for 5 years I have been really pleased with it. However in September 2019 when the car was in for a service, I was informed that the turbo was faulty. The garage stripped the turbo from the engine and discovered a damaged fan blade. This could not be repaired and a reconditioned turbo was sourced and fitted at 85000 miles. The car has now done 89000 miles and is sitting at a garage with a hole in the engine where a con rod burst through when I was doing 60 miles per hour on a busy road.

I would add that the car has been serviced per the recommended schedule at the Mazda dealership where I bought the car - until the most recent service carried out at a local garage.
