Overall reliability

Poor quality, unreliable, cheaply made, expensive to fix, utterly r****** wished i stayed in VAG group!

Bought this car in May for the arrival of our twins. The car is very cheaply put together. Plastic all over and very flimsy. Stereo system is poor quality and lacks any real tone. Interior is well laid out but very tacky. Uncomfortable to be in for long and very noisey.
Within a few weeks replaced dual mass flywheel and clutch (clutch alone £630 before fitting) suction control valve needed replacing £200! just for part. EGR valve faulty after a few weeks of driving. Feels as though the gear box is going now! Horrible strange noise comming from near side rear, sounds like suspension. Poor pull off at low speeds have to drive the diesel like a pertol to get it to move. Alloy wheels rusting already. Paint work is very thin and scratches easily. The occupancy sensor has now broken so no airbags working whilst driving with a passenger ( in excess of £400)
Posotives- Looks ok and handles well in the corners otherwise nothing good to say!
To sum up- avoid this car unless you want to spend a fortune repairing a badly made unreliable cheaply made car. My Seat Leon series 1 is brilliant and i will never deviate from VAG group again. you have been warned!
