Kia XCeed (2019 on)
First Edition GDi 104 DCT Auto 8.9kWh (139) Start/Stop 5dr
A plug in hybrid that does exactly what it says on the tin.
The First Edition comes very well equipped as standard. I particularly like the leather seats, sunroof, digital speedometer, 3- way media display, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel and power tailgate. The boot is slightly undersized but the seats fold flat. I bought this car to use around Cambridge and the surrounding villages and most of my journeys are within the electric only range. I keep it plugged in on the drive at home most of the time, so it's always fully charged when I start off. I haven't tried public chargers at all. I get about 28-30 miles range from the battery, fewer if using motorway or 50+ roads. To date my average fuel consumption is 251 mpg, which I'm more than happy with, but I have yet to go on a 2-300 mile outing to see what petrol-only consumption will be like. I didn't buy any petrol between last November and this April - very satisfying. I bought the car as a demonstrator from a main dealer @ 1800miles and I've covered 3000 miles since then. Progress in normal Eco mode is relaxed and slightly underpowered but pressing the sport button gives me all the performance I need - useful for going up hills or leaving a junction smartly. Overall a pleasure to own. And the 7 year warranty is a reassuring bonus.
