Kia EV6 (2021 on)
GT-Line AWD (no heat pump)
Relaxing yet amazingly quick when needed - and it charges very quickly
We have had a ZOE since late 2016 and an Outlander PHEV since early 2017, so we're not new to EVs. This was a replacement for the PHEV as it had done 100k miles. We went for this rather than other, similar cars due to the much faster charging capability, the space and the 7-year warranty.
We have done 5,000 miles since we bought it and have been amazed by the competence of the car. It will easily get from Yorkshire to beyond Glasgow or Norwich on a single charge, and even further if you drive sensibly. We have driven it from Yorkshire to Cornwall and to Scotland twice, as well as regular trips to Norwich. If you find the right chargers, it charges at over 1,000mph - the first time we used an ultra-rapid charger, the car was ready before we'd picked up our coffee from the admittedly slow cafe.
Gentle cruising easily returns over 300 miles range, though like any car, use the performance enthusiastically and it drops. But in the Highlands of Scotland, that performance was a god-send, with the ability to overtake slower cars almost at will, with the range dropping to around 250 miles.
The car is a large and comfortable cruiser when needed, and is eerily quiet - you can hear the windscreen wipers sliding over the window! It can easily handle a week's luggage for 4 people, and even has a ski hatch for winter trips.
We're very pleased with our purchase and would happily recommend it
