Could be better

This car has been in and out of the dealer since purchase with what can only be described as 'jerky' gear changes, especially at lower speeds. When entering junctions and roundabouts the car constantly feels like it's in the wrong gear and doesn't slow smoothly, then when pulling away it either jumps ahead or is too slow to react, making it not the easiest, or safest, car to drive! When moving very slowly in queuing traffic the gear changes are very noticeable, particularly when it changes down.

In spite of several technicians at the dealer confirming the issue when they drove it themselves, Jaguar has effectively washed their hands of it, stating that it's a 'characteristic' of the vehicle. In my opinion this is a 'characteristic' that's going to result in an accident some day.

This is the first automatic car I've owned and it has seriously put me off. My drive was a lot smoother when driving all of my previous manual transmission vehicles - Peugot, Renault, Subaru and Mitsubishi.
