A future 'classic'
The vehicle is extremely well built, built to last, mine is 12 years old with 130.000 miles on the ‘clock’ and has given no real trouble at all. The continuously variable transmission, (CVT), works beautifully with no ‘jerky’ gear changes and ensures that the vehicle is always in precisely the right gear. To see the vehicle accelerating with the rev counter ‘falling’ seems very weird. The four wheel drive system is hydraulically activated when the front wheels lose traction, and it works beautifully. During good driving conditions the system reverts back to front wheel drive to save fuel. During the bad winter of December 10 it handled icy slopes without difficulty. See You Tube 'Honda HRV in deep snow'.
