Excellent new model. Up there with the best

I have to confess that amongst a few other cars this is my 6th Civic. Having owned 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and tourer models and covered over 800,000 miles on these without ever breaking down, Im confident the new model will be equally reliable.

Having owned it a couple of weeks and over 1000 miles so far, its proving slightly more economical than previous versions, better handling and very comfortable and relaxing to drive. The diesel easily does 60mpg in mixed motoring and with care could do more like 70mpg. Setting the suspension to the harder mode doesn't really affect it in everyday driving but when you want to get a crack on you notice the difference.

The EX model is crammed with tech and takes a bit of manual reading and button pressing to set up how I want and to get to grips with the guidance and safety systems. Once used to it, the tech is good. The Garmin works better than in previous models but theres also the option to apple (and android) play the maps, text etc which is quite neat. My previous dislike of Garmin has been overcome and the new nav is good compared to previous.

The looks are great, very masculine and in blue has got loads of positive comments.

Im very happy with this car.
