Honda Civic (2001 - 2005)
1.7 CDTI
If you want a family car that is spacious has good handling and will last for years, you cant go wrong with a Civic.
Good points:
This is a good car to drive. (The handling is much more precise than the current Civic) its also comftable and as with all Honda's, the Civic is very reliable, spacious (big boot, good leg and shoulder room) and the interior is well built. The Civic is economical ( my average MPG is 47) and safe.
Bad Points:
The car has big blind spots (particualry at the front). I have nearly had many accidents in this car especially at junctions because the front pillars obscure your view too much
The driving position is fine if your tall however if your small the adjustments to the seat and steering are limited.
The interior is well built and looks like it will last many thousands of miles, but it is dull and some of the trim looks a bit cheap. Also unless you have a Civic Type R, you are unlikely to turn any heads.
The Civic also suffers from poor refinement. Wind and road noise cannot be heard, but engine noise is simply too loud.
