Overall reliability

Refined motorway crusier and ultra reliable

Bought as ex demo from main dealer with 3.5k on clock. Loaded with equipment: bluetooth, sat nav, cruise, leather, sun roof, elec seats etc. And used for my weekly 500+ mile commute. Not the best looking car in the world but has been ultra reliable - 75k coming up and not had to change a lightbulb yet. More refined than previous Mazda 6 diesel but not as economical - only getting 45mpg when Mazda would do 50+ easily. Visibility, handling etc. all fine but then I don't drive enthusiastically - it is a Honda estate after all. Brakes not great in the wet - need a good shove when they haven't been used for a while (disc coated in water presumably). Servicing at main dealer can be expensive so have changed to independent now that warranty has expired.

All in all a good car. Looking for a replacement and keep thinking of a MB, Audi, BMW but they are way more expensive (and not as reliable?). Might break the habit of a lifetime and buy same again - diesel & auto though this time.
