Very smooth

This was made just before Ford brought out the latest version of the Focus with the grill above the bumper.
I initially thought an auto might be more thirsty than a manual ,but the 6 speed powershift is reasonably economical.
On a long journey our mpg is usually in the low forties, and in town the low thirties.
The gearbox is very smooth and has a sport setting if required but I've never had to use it.
The controls are simple and easy to use,and the interior has a solid feel to everything.
The satnav is simple to operate and there is a usb connection for the mp3 player.
The boot as others have mentioned is slightly smaller than previous models ,but will still take two large retrievers (with the parcel shelf removed)
The front seats are comfortable ,and there is plenty of room in the rear.
To sum up ,I always enjoy driving it and most importantly my wife insists our next car will be another Focus!
