Fiat Stilo (2002 - 2007)
fiat stilo 1.2 16v 3d
misunderstanding
38k miles genuine, dads before me.
Amazing depreciation. Very reliable, with the usual gremlins telling you something is wrong, but
only dampness, fooling the electrics.
cheap to buy will continue to rapidly depreciate.unfairly.
costs for servicing and repairs are pretty low. Insurance higher than group would suggest!
frony tyres do wear particulalry on one side on this car the drivers side tyres go in about 6-10k other wheel 15-20.
a front spring did break but only after going down big pothole, and drop link also synthetic bush.
seats are comfortable overall space ltd.
fuel consumption good particularly if you can keep it in 6th- will do 50plus.
nil repair probs at all. only pot hole damage.
passes mot polution no probs
just oil and filter changes required so far.
will do belts shortly unaware about water pump!
decent handling easy parking, but like all modern cars huge blind spots at A pillars.
build quality is fine nothing gone wrong. all dashboard lights -info still working.
batteries seem to go every 4 years.
Fiats always unfairly undervalued-estimated.
Apart from front tyres which dvla or appropriate should have dealt with, this is a good car. unfortunately the designers finished it before it got started. Tyres wearing like this are simply unforgivable. other manufacturers were quick to put it to the sword.
The fact it was allowed to be sold only reflects on the standard of government weve had for decades.
Tough luck, buyer beware, despite DEPT FOR TRADE & IND, DVLA ETC.All funded by taxation.
Why buy car with this prob, known by me but not by dad, i was going to buy colwat remoulds, unfortunately, all the firms despite all the recycling going on have now abandoned remoulds.
I recently had to pay double for two tyres than i hoped to pay for four-remoulds.
