BMW 3 Series Touring (2012 - 2019)
330d M Sport 5dr Auto Estate
Poor quality and disappointed with the interior finish.
I have the BMW 330D M Sport Touring. This is a lease car ordered through Gateway2Lease (a part of Network Leaseplan) and supplied by Dick Lovett BMW.
It arrived filthy, with damage to the wing, and different tyres on each side of the vehicle (ie) Bridgestones on the n/s and Continentals on the offside. A few emails to HJ for his superb advice and there followed 6 months of wrangling with the lease company and BMW UK with the car off the road for nearly 4 months of that time owing to their subterranean levels of service.
The car itself as you would expect has plenty of power, handles well and the economy is very good. Now the not so good points. Firstly, the materials used. The Dakota leather is more like vinyl, the luggage cover is a thick nasty plastic and in my honest opinion the steering wheel is straight out of Poundland. Next the standard spec. The infotainment, in this case Business Navigation must be the cheapest sat nav unit available. The trip computer display is so small it’s unreadable without spectacles and the remote boot opener inside the car is situated so low under the dashboard you feel like you are reaching to touch the accelerator pedal. No electric seats. For £38K this represents poor value.
Finally, there is a lip to the loading bay making it uncomfortable to sit on the tailgate.
I do not understand how this car gets such glowing reviews, as as an estate car for carrying children, dogs etc it fails IMHO. Very poor.
