Ronseal car. It does exactly what it says ...

Just sold this car, after 17 months and 23,000 miles of ownership (car sold on 56,000 miles), so time to review it ...
Very comfortable to drive, even on journeys of 400 miles. Quite economical (usually 45-49 mpg, best I ever got on a tankful was 57 mpg (all real figures, though trip computer read dead accurate)
The rear seats don't really have the legroom or space you would expect, if someone 6 ft tall is driving, then another 6 footer behind them isn't going to have a lot of legroom. Boot is reasonably large though.
Bearing in mind that this was an SE rather than M sport, and it only had 17" wheels, the noise levels were a little excessive, even when 4.5 mm tyre depth remained on the front tyres. Changed at 4mm, and it felt like you were wearing headphones, it was so quiet
Had absolutely no breakdowns/bongs at all with the car while I owned it. Nothing. Nada. Maybe I'm lucky. Maybe I pay attention and maintain my car properly. Who knows.
Dealers are, I feel, reasonable on servicing costs. Oil, oil filter, air filters and brake fluid change for £300 isn't much more than a family member pays to get a Ford Focus serviced at a main agent.
Never felt particularly short of power, roadholding was always perfectly acceptable and predictable.
Was it any good ? Yes. That's why I've just changed it for the 'new' F31 3-series touring.
