Promised a lot, but just has not lived up to expectations

This is my first ever BMW, having always driven main stream cars in the past. Really enjoyed the car at first, great acceleration and sure footed braking, with fine road holding. Seats firm and supportive - super over long distances, and excellent fuel economy. Then came the snow, over the last two winters the car has stood my drive for 6 weeks, all the great road holding ability I had previously enjoyed disappeared completely.

Clutch was replaced at 16000 miles, at 19000 it started to develop a judder on hill starts. BMW dealership insisted there was nothing wrong with the clutch, eventually on my third request they installed new software into the engine management unit and so far this has cured the problem.

Stop/start failed after 22000 miles, and the dealership replaced the battery and revised engine software.

Central locking has developed an intermittent fault which the dealership have been unable to identify, they seem to be developing trend that unless a fault hits them square between the eyes, they are unwilling to go that extra mile to resolve the issue.

Inside the cabin storage is virtually nil, door bins are so narrow you struggle to find somewhere to store your sunglasses case.

Sorry BMW, but will be soon be parting company.
