116i ES 5dr Hatchback

Reliable, but not what I would say 100% practical....

Have owned the 116i ES for 3 years and with a baby on the ways it's time to change!

Good bits

Reliable - well put together and handles well (although you have to work the 1.6 engine)
Driving - typically BMW, good driving position and enjoyable on twisty turns, 6 speed box helps on motorway

Bad bits

Runflats = noisy and crashy ride plus expensive
Space - lacks read space due to transmission
34 Mpg isn't so great compared to 2012/13 model cars
Rear view is poor - sums it up when parking sensors are a standard feature
Gearbox is clunky
