Audi A3 (2008 - 2012)
1.6 3dr Hatchback
Expensive service and repairs. Not so good on the road
I've had several german cars now. By experience i can say that the Audis break down alot. Had an audi a3 97, a4 2002, and an audi a6 2004. There's always something wrong.
I bought it in 05 from Audi, and it's only done 61k Miles. However, I've never used so much money on repairs and service. Service prices at dealership here in Norway are overpriced.
It's had a lot of repairs in the past, even though i drive it nice. just this weekend something went wrong and i have to throw out 2500 £ to fix it. Something went wrong with the cooling system, so they want me to pay 2500 to fix it. nice
When it comes to driving pleasure and comfort, it's pretty much r******. I've driven more comfortable cars who handle better.
I got an old bmw e36 325i coupe from 1994 alongside with the a3. Even though the beemer is a 94, it still kicks Audi's ass in every single way. It has a sharper streering, a better road feel, and of course it's amazing to drive. The a3's steering feels numb, not even connected to the road. Therefore it's boring to drive.
However, the only thing i can say about this car is that it looks nice, and it uses a lot less fuel than the bimmer... but it's because it's a 1,6 of course and the other is a 2,5.
In other words, this car has been a regret since the day i got it. It's a nice car to "brag" with, but it's a pain in the a*** to own. I am never going to buy an audi again.
