Small and practical city car with some longer range potential

Cracking car that does exactly what I needed it to. Its a cheap town car that is fairly economical on petrol when you're not ragging it down the motorway. I've achieved an average of 44.5 mpg and that's mainly because I've taken to crawling down the motorway in the slow lane (I am for 65mph when I'm going long distance). Love the car in terms of interior and exterior appearance, its fairly well equipped and the 1.4 is almost a "best of both worlds" engine. My gripes... there are 2. 1) the build quality is lacking a little. The doors just don't feel solid and there is a slightly "plastic" feel to everything. 2) The dealers. Ford dealers feel pushy and distant when I talk to them and honestly, I can't say I've ever felt like I've had value for money when I've dealt with them. These days, I go to a private garage down the road who make every effort to ensure i leave satisfied and informed. If you're looking for a cheap family car, I'd recommend the 1.4 fiesta every time.
