Ford Offers Low Cost Service and Breakdown Package
Mon, 09 Nov 2009
Ford dealers are offering a service for just £99, with the bonus of a year’s roadside assistance.
The
£99 Ford Value Service offer is aimed at owners of Ford car models three years old or more. They can take advantage of the deal at
any of the 400-plus participating Ford dealerships and Rapid Fit
centres nationwide.
In
addition to a service that includes an oil change, a new oil filter and
a new air filter, vehicles will also benefit from a free Visual Health
Check covering more than 25 vital maintenance and safety assessments.
The
Visual Health Check provides customers with an easy-to-understand
summary that gives a ‘red’, ‘amber’ or ‘green’ status for vital
components and systems. Red means that attention is required now and
amber that it will be needed soon.
Among
the items examined are the brakes, clutch, seat belts, tyres, steering,
suspension links, driveshafts, wheel bearings, transmission, wheel nuts
and several major engine components, including the cooling system.
Included
with the £99 Ford Value Service is roadside assistance throughout
Britain and Europe for 12 months (or until the car reaches its next
scheduled service interval, whichever comes up sooner). Cover is
provided by Ford Assistance, which offers a 24/7 Europe-wide call-out
service. Even if a break down happens on the continent, if the car
can't be fixed at the roadside then it will be arranged for the car to
be taken to the owner's home or to a Ford dealership.
“This
is a superb offer for cost-conscious drivers looking for value for
money – those who might be tempted to let their service schedule lapse
for a month or two to ease cash flow, or to take their car to an
independent repairer,” said Paul Muers, marketing manager of Ford
Customer Service Division.
“A
£99 service represents real value at a time when motoring and living
costs are spiralling, and that’s before you take into account the
roadside assistance. It is possible to spend £99 arranging a similar
level of cover and customers know the service is being carried out to
Ford’s exacting quality standards.”
The
Ford Value Service is aimed at owners of older vehicles who might be
considering an independent service agent in the belief that they will
get better value. If any work is required to a car undergoing the Ford
Value Service, it is carried out using Ford Original Parts, ensuring
safety, reliability and longevity. All Ford dealers also have their
workmanship independently and randomly audited by the RAC to ensure the
highest standards are maintained.
Ford
owners can spread servicing costs with a new service plan called ‘Ford
Protect Service Assure, a tailored monthly payment plan operated by
Ford dealers that enables owners to smooth out the cost of servicing on
a monthly basis.
Owners can find their nearest participating Ford dealer or Rapid Fit centre at Ford Value Service
