Volkswagen Touran updated for 2023
Volkswagen has announced upgrades to VW Touran, in celebration of its 20th birthday. The upgrades to the MPV include a new 1.5 TSI engine as well as safety features.
Volkswagen has upgraded the Touran in terms of comfort, with a latest-generation steering wheel, a freely programmable Basic instrument cluster and the air conditioner control console with touch controls at the front and rear.
There are optional functions such as Easy Open & Close (closing the trunk lid by foot movement) and Keyless Access.
Standard equipment for the 2023 VW Touran now includes, among other things, PreCrash at the rear, which uses the sensor technology of the Side Assist lane change assist.
The Volkswagen Touran also comes equipped with a multifunction camera. The optional "IQ.DRIVE incl. IQ.LIGHT" package includes the Travel Assist2 driver assist system, which can assist in keeping the vehicle in lane, maintaining a distance from the vehicle in front and ensuring that the vehicle keeps to a maximum speed set by the driver.
The Dynamic Light Assist2 main-beam control is also part of the new assist package and ensures better visibility at night.
The engine range now includes Volkswagen's 1.5 TSI petrol engine with 150PS. The Touran impresses with a large and multivariable interior – with seven seats. The fold-flat seating system allows for a storage volume of up to 1980 litres. In addition, the 47 storage options and the drawers under the front seats fulfill almost every storage desire.
