Paris Motor Show 2012: Nissan reveals Juke NISMO
Nissan has brought a NISMO tuned version of the Juke to the Paris Motor Show. It features a tweaked 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, bespoke aero package and revised chassis to improve handling.
The engine is powerful enough to rival hot hatches with 200PS on tap. Both two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions will be offered when the car goes on sale in 2013 and performance is impressive – 0-62mph takes 7.8 seconds and top speed is 133mph.
Performance aficionados will want the 2WD, since the 4WD comes with a CVT auto as standard. The improved power output comes with improved handling care of stiffer springs and more direct steering. Dampers have been revised all with driving dynamics in mind.
NISMO styling details complete the package. The show car has red door mirror caps, large 18-inch wheels and an aggressive looking bodykit featuring a red front splitter and LED running lights. Nissan is also showing the Juke by Ministry of Sound and Micra Elle, which were introduced earlier this year.
