Is your car in safe hands?
You want to know that the technicians who work on your vehicle are professional and highly skilled, so help us to find them.
A technician's job involves engineering, problem solving, attention to detail,
technical ability, ingenuity and good customer service. How does your
technician measure up?
Nominate your local garage today and we will ask them to put forward their best technicians into the annual search for the Top Technician in the UK.
The Top Technician competition was created 7 years ago to help change the public’s misconception of ‘cowboy’ repairers and to reward the many highly-skilled technicians who face complex technology everyday in their garages. Experienced repairers of passenger cars can enter Top Technician 2010 online at www.toptechnician.co.uk and this year we are asking motorists to nominate technicians from their local garage.
Nominated technicians initially face an online test created by Chief Judge Ian Gillgrass of the Institute of the Motor Industry. The 24 highest-scoring entrants are then invited to a practical assessment in February; the final twelve compete at finals in March.
The winner will be crowned on the Top Technician stand at Workshop 2010 at the NEC Birmingham on April 15th 2010, the industry’s own parts and equipment exhibition. He (or she!) will receive a tax-free sum of £2,500 and thousands of pounds’ worth of prizes from this year’s sponsors: Blueprint, Comma Oil & Chemicals, Delphi, Euro Car Parts, Lemforder and Motor Codes.
Reward your local garage for keeping you safe on the road www.toptechnician.co.uk.
