Hello, I wondering to buy one of these models of car: Nissan Qashqai 2.0D 2007 or Toyota rav4 2.2D 2007. I would pleased people who own the car to share their experience and provide their feedbacks about these cars advantages and disadvantages.Which act more reliable on the roads. The car going to be used mainly in the cities or motorways. The main concern is cost of maintenance and services: like casual stuff changing oil, brakes, pads, insurance, cost of tax any relevant.

Both very much the same one has Renault technology in abundance and the other Toyota at 5/6 years old I would be looking at the service standard, and service parts such as have the discs replaced, are the tyres as new ,how the inside and outside has been treated the condition of the exhaust system.I am sure that at that age there are good and bad of both models.

What sort of annual mileage are you expecting to cover? If cost of maintenance is a priority, and your mileage is less than 12000 per annum, I'd suggest going petrol, which will certainly be a cheaper used buy. The RAV4 2.0 petrol should prove reliable. However, a 2006 mk2 Honda CR-V petrol auto would be a good choice, They're gaining a lot of praise for longevity and low maintenance costs. See HJ's review in the car-by-car section
