Superb 2 1.9 tdi S - skoda superb 2 drivers door wont open - skippy41

I locked my car last night went in the house for a coffee, came back out and opend the car but the drivers door refused to open, I climbed into the back and opend the door that way, put the drivers window down and locked and unlocked it again but it still would not open, I then tried the emergancy open with the key but still nothing, it feels like something has snapped inside the lock

Any idias of what could have gone wrong and how to rectify it quick as its a taxi

Nothing to do with the key fob is it? Battery maybe.Spray some W 40 in the lock maybe some muck got in it.

Had a good look in daylight, something has definataly come off from the outer handle posably the wire thats meant to be atatched to it to open

Just a quick update, a small cable has snapped,( just like a push bike break cabble) that goes between the outside handle and the door release £7.00 fitted tomorrow when it arives
