thank you i will give that a go,i was under the impression it mite be the caliper ...........thank you again....

wheel nuts are fine ive just replaced the rear hub bearings last wkend it sounds like somthing is catching,its ok for a few miles then wen ive used the brakes a few times it starts tick tick tick as you are driving the faster i go the quicker the ticking gets then when i apply my brakes even just resting my foot on the brake peddle or pulling my hand brake up one notch it goes away...........imagine stapling a bit of tyre or somthing simerler to your tyre then driving it would flap about as your wheel turns thats just what it sounds like, ive rcently replaced rear discs and pads and rear hub bearings, could i be wrong in saying the caliper is making the noise????????????thanks for your advice glyn.........

well i chaned the discs and pads about 3 months ago,then about 2 months ago i started to experiance the ticking noise i changed the bearings last wkend cos i had the humming noise now thats gone but i thought in the back of my mind it would get rid of the ticking noise but it didnt,but yes i used lock tight and there all tight still, very annoying as im left scratching my head now :-(((( ,thanks glyn......
