I ordered the above car on Jan. 14th 2012. The garage has been very slow in giving me any timescale for delivery. Is there any difficulty or delay in these cars coming to Spain. They say that automatics are slow on the production line. Can anyone offer info. on this matter. I'm really concerned because I've already given them my car as part exchange.(silly me)

At present in the uk qashqais are a 3 to 4 month order. I ordered mine before Xmas and picked it up the last week in February.

I'm told that Nissan are working flat out and can't build enough qashqais at the minute.

Thing is my qashqai is the 1.6 petrol ntec manual and it sure was worth the wait. It's a great car and even though it's only done about 400 miles it's still beating nissans mpg figures as I can get approx 39 mpg round town.

39mpg around town is diesel like economy, which would be very impressive

Is this brim to brim or from the trip computer?

Apparently, It would be better than diesel which only averaged about 35mpg on a run, right?

That mileage was brim to brim and used about 1/2 tankful so not just a few miles.
The fuel computer was quite accurate with it too.

Mind you I have a determination that I have to better the claimed mpg's of any car I drive and the only one ever to beat me was the Megane iii diesel I e just got rid of.
My Discovery 300tdi auto can get me 29 mpg on the urban circle if I drive it carefully, but not annoyingly for other road users lol

Qashqai appears to be achieving similar mpg to my B class. I did 40 miles yesterday over three urban trips which took me a total of 2 hours. Average mpg at the end of it was 38.6 on what I have found to be an accurate computer.

That's no worse than I used to average in my diesel B-class - one of several reasons why it was unloved, mainly relating to the diesel engine. Your petrol B-class sounds as if it' been a good buy.
