30 odd in the urban setting, 37 or 38 on longer runs, never better than 38

For a DIESEL!

From one who was getting 50 plus overall, from the same driving mix, from der Skoda.

A pleasent car with good access & seating and also deceptively fast, imho.

I never got better than 44mpg out of both my Vauxhall diesels - 2.0DTI and 1.9CDTI Astras, manual boxes, mixed driving.

GM haven't a clue how to do frugal diesels, they need to see what Peugoet and Renault do to get cars running on the smell of diesel.
