Ford Mondeo Ghia x 2.0L petrol - Clutch conversion (DMF to Solid) - Daf not Raf

Hi to All, has anyone changed their clutch and used a solid flywheel instead of a DMF. If so does it make a lot of difference. Iam a very gentle driver and wont be towing anything. Gentle meaning no fast pull aways or racing. Will probably only be doing a maximum of about 10 000 miles a year. Have had a quote of £620.00 for complete change using DMF which I thought was very good after pricing up all the parts seperately. Have just got the car cheap 75 000 on the clock. Any info or advice much appeciated.

I was under the impression that the 1.8 and 2.0 petrol did also have DMF. I have heard of some people doing this but not aware of any feedback.

Have a look on ebay and see if anyone supplies a DMF for your engine, if they don't the chances are it doesn't have one.
