could you please tell me the type of refrigerant used in a puegeuot 405 n reg car , is it R12,R22, or R 134a

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but wouldn't it be better to ask a peugeot dealer?Then you have a reasonable chance of getting the correct information.They don't mind being asked the ocasssional question.

Most cars with aircon have a sticker in the bonnet area giving details of the refrigerant charge.

You might find the information on an homologation plate located in the
boot. (assuming that (i) 405's have such a plate, and (ii) its located in
a similar place to the 306).
(Don't confuse this plate with the VIN!)

Gas used is R134a with PAG oil. Qty is 650 gramms. Whatever you do, don't put anything other than this in it. Unfortunately Peugoet are one of the many manufacturers that don't bother to list this under the bonnet, despite them all getting together a while back and deciding it was a good idea for the environment to list clearly what is used and how much. But then I guess to the DIYer it won't mean anything anyway as there isn't much you can do with.
