Bought two new tyres and they fitted new valves. Within a week and less than 200 miles when driving on the motorway i had a sudden tyre deflation and when i managed to pull over one of the new tyres was completely flat and damaged.
I tried to re-inflate it with an electric pump which seemed to work but on removing the pump I heard air coming out of the valve and on inspection found it to be split.
I have just had the tyre replaced but they refused to replace it for free under the guarantee stating that the valve had been hit by something.
I didn't see anything on the motorway that might have caused this and I would also suggest that anything hitting the valve would mearly move the valve as it is rubber mounted.
My feeling is that the metal tube in the valve was defective when it was fitted and it is therefore the responsibility of the supplier.
Can anyone tell me where I go for legal advice on this please?
Thanks
