My Dad has a 2005 Peugot 206. In the last couple of weeks the lights have taken to turning themselves on and off at random (with the column switch in OFF position), driving or stationary, any time the ignition is turned on.

His local garage thought maybe the Auto lights were on, and turned them off. As far as I can see, this particular variant doesn't have Auto lights!

Also when entering the car, when the door is opened, with everything turned off, there is a bleeping warning, which also turns itself on and off at random. This, I think, is faster than the usual bleeping warning you get when you open a door with the car running, and there is no display on the dash. This fault started at the same time, so presumably is related.

Anyone met this before?
