Nissan Almera - car wont start - djk

car was running rough after a couple of weeks it died, have changed the cam sensor still not working, took spark plug out whilist got someone to start the engine, got one spark and then no more sparks any ideas. regards dave

Did you earth the plug?

are you getting fuel into the cylinders (not just to the rail)?

If you're not getting fuel or spark, then the fault doesn't lie with the ignition system-it's more likely to be thatthe ECU isn't receiving a singal from the crank sensor, or else isn't sending a signal to the injectors/coils.

Fuel ok., plug was earthed, as i said got one spark and then no more sparks

Duff cam sensor, duff crank sensor. Is it the 1.5/1.8 engine?

Could be cam chain stretch.

Hi its the 1.5, have changed the cam sensor no noise from caam chain, someone said it might be the immobiliser

I don't think the cam chains do get noisy when they stretch. The only way to check is to remove the cam cover and measure the tensioner projection. There's plenty of stuff on the interweb thingmy if you do a search.
