Hi,
I put a message on another thread - see below and it was suggested I check on here.
www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=78279&...2
Long story short, my camshaft snapped and on the same afternoon I got the recall / customer satisfaction letter regarding the bolts.
I am out alot of money so far with AA charge, towing charge, car hire etc and I still don't have my car back, even though the dealerhip have had it for over 2 weeks. As Vauxhall are footing the cost of the repair does this mean they have admitted the fault was due to the recall letter and therefore they are liable for my costs?
Any guidence would really help.
I have raised a complaint the customer service not that they are any good. Last sopke to them on Thursday where the point blank refused to do anything for me and suddently announced the repair was been done as good wlill - frist i heard of it and i made it clear i was not accepting this. I had been told the previous day by customer service they it was full repair therefore I should have been given car hire.... when i rang on thursday no one knew anything about that... surprise surprise and that head office had refused my car hire....
Granted by car is nearly 6 years old, with only 55,000 miles therefore camshaft should not have snapped and this is clearly due to the manufactoring...
Any guidence / advice will really help - I don't want to let this go at all.
Thanks
