Ford Focus TDCI - Problems when engine hot, Clutch and noise - aaedwards

Hi all i have a intermitent problem with my car, when starting the engine when it is hot the engine judders and also sometime the clutch rises to the top please can someone advise me on what the problem is regards Anthony

Hi Anthony, I had almost identical problem with hot starting on my focus tdci! I feared it was the dreaded dual mass flywheel on the way out. However I thought I would try changing the starter motor as its about £70 as apposed to £700!! This fixed the problem and now its as sweet starting as when I first picked it up!!
Worth a try before plumping for a DMF.

Cheers for the advise i will give it a go. just wondering what is causing the intermitent clutch pedel problem regards Anthony
