Hi

just a bit of advice before I start this job.

Cable snapped in drivers side window motor so will have to replace assembly. Presently the window is closed and I have removed the inner door liner. What do I need to do other than drill out pop rivets to release motor and rail brackets?.

Do I need to lower the window or best to leave it in closed position?

You will need to lower the glass to enable you to unscrew the lifter plate from the window regulator mechanism.Usually 2 cross head screws.hth
