When we had the mitsubishi spacestar the car had to go in for some repairs and as a courtesy car i ended up with a skoda fabia.I was't inpressed with the car felt uncomfortable not a nice drive.I was glad to drive the space star again a underrated car.The new Skoda Fabia might be a differnt car all together just my opinion.
We have a Skoda fabia which we use as a courtesy car. I think they are great. Thy chassis and running gear is essentially the same as a vw polo but parts are much cheaper. They return good fuel economy and reasonable comfort too.
Keep away from low profile tyres on a Fabia as they wreak the ride comfort. Go for higher profile tyres. Also check the clutch isn't riding too high as they can't be easily adjusted and it often implies the clutch has been ridden and is about to give out.
