Will Insurance claim be a cat D write off? - cat1973

I have recently had my motorbike driven into whilst stationary in a car park. Person responsible accepted liability and claim has gone through his insurance.

Cost of repairs exceeded value of bike and bike could have been written off at a value of £1900. When engineer looked over bike we discussed the options as damage was very minor. I agreed via the insurance company to accept £1300 to get some of the repairs done but obviously this wouldn't cover the full cost of repairs.

Will this be classed as a Cat D write off though?

Cheers

They offered £1900 in exchange for your damaged bike.

You took £1300 in lieu of repair and kept the bike.

End of story.
