Well done but driving on their own /with pals needs to be hammered home r you will get the 9pm call............dad

This message has been hammered home to the best of our ability, incl specific cautions re certain acquaintenances.
No1 son is off to Uni and says "thank God I do not need to look at a car for 5 years" ...........a strange child in some ways.
Tiddles being female & like her mother is far too sensible and from our observation not particularly susceptible to peer pressure.
fingers crossed none the less.
cheers

Both kids passed first time some years ago. Daughter really careful and I think good driver. Son a good driver however bought an old BMW 325i, after an old Ford Fiesta, now has and old (2000) Audi A4 Diesel. He is 27 now and trying to get an old Audi S4 if he can afford it. Fortunately hasn't had any accidents but always seeking a faster car!! Some boys just like there cars. Wasn't helped by getting a job with a Porsche Racing team for a few years.

The odd thing is our son who is not interested in driving ( we had to twist his arm to do the test before departing for Uni @ 18 plus years old) is as far as I am capable of judging a "natural" driver, very relaxed, with good car control, car positioning, regard for other road users etc, and per a comment he made, whilst waiting at a road end, interested in staying alive,............... he has spent some time on a push-bike which has perhaps hammered this home.
He also despises the "go-faster/go-louder" scallys (& he may well have inherited that attitude)
Tiddles, his sister, who is mad keen, is not as "natural" a driver.
