1997 Toyota Camry 2.2 - One downside of running an old Jap car - lucklesspedestrian

Hi there

Mixed feelings here, on the one hand, really chuffed that the venerable Camry got through the M.O.T with only an advisory on one tyre and a bit of exhaust putty on the joint between the backbox and the middle section (not bad I suppose for 13 years and 160K on the same system!).

The downside is I've been quoted £450 for replacements for the two exhaust sections!

Does anyone have any idea of somewhere who might be able to supply these parts a bit cheaper? (I've filled in the online forms for the various breakers)

Cheers

Ring round some of the various specialists who supply and fit stainless steel systems, they'll probably make you a bespoke system with lifetime guarantee for 300 or less.

Camry's last forever, unlikely to find them in breakers unless smashed to bits.
