Ford fiesta 1.8 diesel mk 4 - Oil warning lamp flickering - bikermonkey

Please Help,

My fiesta's oil warning lamp keeps flickering. Oil level is fine, 1st thing i checked. Where is the pump? how do i see if it's working, sticky switch or any other ideas?

Thanks.

The switch is cheap, replace that. If that makes no difference - don't drive the car! Could be oil pump, pickup strainer blocked, pressure relief value knackered, try changing the oil filter - especially if it's a cheapo non Ford one as if it's the type with a bypass valve it could be stuck open. Of course it could also be a knackered engine!
