Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202 - Electronic key reprogramming - PeterN

My electronic key (which doubles as a remote control for the locks) suddenly one day ceased to function - luckily at home where I could get the spare key. It isn't the batteries. I have been told I need to pay £240 for a new one. isn't there anywhere I can get the key re-programmed?

No. Mercedes charged me £170 to confirm what I say go to any DB forum site.
