we were travelling down the motorway and suddenly the van started to die on me so we pulled over to the hard shoulder to see what was happening the back of the van was covered in oil and there was a trail of oil down the road, so i checked the oil and filled it up, tried to start it again and it made a whoomp sound and died again so i took the rocker covers off as it had blown the rocker cover gaskets off so i put them back on and tried again it blew them off again so i refitted them and took the oil breather pi have a vw bay window 1972 1600 camper van.
ipe off the air filter it fired and blethe w rocker cover gaskets off again and smoke came out of the oil breather pipe and exhaust, refitted the gaskets again but this time i took the oil filler cap off it made a loud noise and blew the gaskets again and smoke came out of the exhaust etc, could you please help regards andi
