Toyota Corolla - Parking Sensors Frightening Driver - Glaikit Wee Scunner {P}

My SIL is trading in her Toyota Corolla.

One reason is that she finds the beeping noises made when she reverses across the pavement ,or when cars/pedestrians approach, to be unbearably scary.

Not as scary as a thud/ squelch but it is her money.

She is a very nervous driver and dabs at the brakes when another vehicle approaches.

Can't she turn off the sensors?

If someone is frightened by the beeping of parking sensors, they shouldn't be driving at all.

I would second that.

I'd third it, especially as the OP provides even more incriminating evidence

The 'beeping' as she reverses across the pavement might be doing her a favour but far more preferable than putting someone in hospital
